Who We Are

Our Rector, The Rev’d Leighton Lee, came to us from Calgary in June 2021. He was appointed Priest-in-Charge of the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer in 2006 and was subsequently appointed Rector in 2009. In February 2016, he was installed as fourteenth Dean of Calgary. He previously worked in rural ministry as Assistant Curate in the Highwood Parish, which is centred around the town of High River, 60 kilometres south of Calgary. James joined St. Mark’s in March 2018. Along with his role in Sunday worship services, he leads a talented choir. James has supported several concerts at St. Mark's. Previously, James was Music Director at Leaside Presbyterian Church, and was a pianist with the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir.

Erin came to St. Mark's at the end of August 2022 and she brings extensive administrative experience and skills along with a history of managing complex and busy offices to the position. Erin and her husband moved from Toronto to Virgil and are loving it! Along with her passion for gardening, she is an avid reader of historical novels and her hobbies and activities include knitting, tennis, and swimming.
