St. Mark's Singers

 

Everyone is welcome to join and enjoy our camaraderie!

Practises are held every Sunday morning before the weekly Sung Eucharist. Monthly vocal workshops and retreats are scheduled to help you achieve the best ensemble skills you can! In addition, the Singers contribute musical leadership for Ash Wednesday and during Holy Week. A yearly Christmas concert is also part of the vibrant musical life at St. Mark's. Curious?       MICHAEL BLOSS

       DIRECTOR OF MUSIC

Michael has been described as an animated performer, sensitive collaborative musician and illuminative coach and who, during a career spanning almost half a century, has championed pastoral music ministry. Michael is thrilled to currently serve as Interim Director of Music of St. Mark's, and has held respected tenures at Christ's Church Cathedral, Hamilton ON, The Cathedral Church of St. James, and Timothy Eaton Memorial Church, in Toronto. He has performed throughout North America, Europe and Japan, and appeared on the national networks of the CBC, American Public Radio and Swiss Radio. The most memorable experience would surely be becoming the first Canadian to be awarded the designation of Preistrager at the International Bach Competition in Leipzig, Germany playing in Bach's own church. His other calling in the world of aviation is serving as a B757/767 Captain for Cargojet Airlines, Canada's Global Air Cargo Airline.
